Green Cabbage Sabzi with Peas is a simple, healthy, and flavorful North Indian dish. It combines the crunch of cabbage with the sweetness of peas and mild spices to make a perfect side dish for roti or rice.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups shredded green cabbage
- 1/2 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp ginger (grated)
- 1 green chili (chopped, optional)
- Fresh coriander (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add ginger and green chili (if using) and sauté for a minute.
- Add shredded cabbage, peas, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
- Cook on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly browned. If needed, sprinkle a little water to prevent burning.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
