Green Cabbage Sabzi with Peas is a simple, healthy, and flavorful North Indian dish. It combines the crunch of cabbage with the sweetness of peas and mild spices to make a perfect side dish for roti or rice.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1/2 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp ginger (grated)
  • 1 green chili (chopped, optional)
  • Fresh coriander (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add ginger and green chili (if using) and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add shredded cabbage, peas, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
  4. Cook on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly browned. If needed, sprinkle a little water to prevent burning.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve hot with roti, paratha, or rice. Enjoy!
